How To Treat Your Man Like A Man

Monday, December 31st, 2007

By Angie Lewis Are you a controlling wife? Do you take your husband for granted? Most women dont realize it but they abuse their husbands daily just by their actions. Many women of today feel that marriage revolves solely around them and that their husbands are supposed to give them everything their heart desires. If we arent getting what we want from our man could it be because we are not treating our man like a man? Stop pushing him around and hell come around. 1. Dont undermine your husbands decision making This is a biggy in marriage. Isnt it true that we women want things our way! We have been taught from grade school to go after our dreams and aspirations in life no matter what the consequences, even if that means rejecting our husbands needs and wishes. We do what WE want and what WE need. Why would a woman of today be so determined to chip away at her husbands manly authority and advice? Face it ladies, we havent exactly helped to make our man feel like a man. If we dont accept the man we married, why would we expect to get what we want from him? If we are rejecting, blaming, controlling, demeaning, undermining, and complaining about our husbands we certainly arent respecting the man we married. If we weaken our husbands manly resolve whats left but our feminist attitude and bossy selfish egos? Are we taking the man we married for granted? I think we are and thats whats killing marriage! How do I know all this? I used to undermine my husband all the time. I wouldnt let him be the man of the house. I was bossy and rebellious. I want you to know what I have come to know. Its great! 2. Dont reject your husband How many times last month did you tell your husband that you were too tired or had a headache or simply shrugged him off because you were mad at him? Probably more times then you really think. Shouldnt we want to satisfy our husbands needs every single day, regardless, whether we feel like it or not? We women need to please and satisfy the men were married to and well get our hearts desire. We really will! 3. Give your husband space (time with buddies) Do you complain because your husband likes to have free time away with the guys? Maybe you feel he should be home doing chores or watching the children on his day off. But face it ladies, our man deserves time away to be with his friends to play golf, fish or hunt, or whatever it is he does just as much as we deserve to be with our friends. Did you know that a husband that is allowed the freedom to be with his buddies is a happier and more content filled man? Isnt that what we want anyway? 4. Cook your husband hot and nutritious meals every day It is so true that one way to our mans heart is through his stomach. Ask any man and hell tell you. I know that some of you ladies who work out of the home just dont have the time to cook nice meals everyday. Buy a crock-pot and a crock-pot cookbook and learn to make delicious homemade meals with it. Crock-pot cooking is so simple. You throw all the ingredients in the pot and it cooks safely all day, and the food will be ready when you both come home from work. 5. Respect your husband Whats so hard about respecting the man we married? If we control the marriage and feel that our husband cant do anything as good as we can, we certainly wont be able to respect him, right? Is treating your husband like one of the children respecting him? Is complaining about their faults respecting him? Is telling him what hes going to do respecting him? Is rejecting him sexually respecting him? Is belittling him respecting him? Well then, stop doing all these things and you are on your way to respecting the man you married. 6. Let your husband protect you God made man to be the protector of women. Men love to do it, they want to do it, and they feel like a man when we let them do it. But most married women dont feel they need protected because they can take care of themselves. They carry mace, a gun and take karate classes and act like a man and still, they are getting beaten, raped, manhandled, and murdered. If a woman is married why on earth would she want to take away her husbands god-given natural abilities as a protector? A married woman needs to allow her husband do his job in the manner in which he does it best, by protecting and loving his wife with the natural abilities God gave him. How can a man do that when the woman wont let him? This is how a man loves his woman! Seriously now, its really that simple. What would happen if we didnt allow our husbands to protect us? We would be rejecting their love for us. Dont you want to be loved by your man? Did you know that when we dont let our husbands love us the way God meant for a man to love his wife, we are rebelling against God? 7. Submit to your husband (love God) Ladies, first you must learn to submit to God. This was a major issue in my marriage for many years because I didnt accept God. I was looking out into the world for the answers to my marriage problems when the answers were within my spiritual self the whole time. I finally grew to accept and love God. That is the root of submitting right there. By growing out from the selfish person I was, I learned to understand what submitting to my husband was all about. Once a woman learns to submit to her husband she will see that by submitting she is actually in more control of the marriage and a better marriage wife because of it. In other words, a woman will not lose anything of her self by submitting but will gain more of herself that was lost. Now I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God. 1 Corinthians 11:3 ~~ Angie Lewis has written another valuable book geared to married women and women who are thinking of getting married. In her book Angie shares her inspired divine wisdom that took her years to figure out and apply into her own marriage of 22 years. She shows you step by step biblical applications for a happier and forever lasting marriage. “LOVE THE MAN YOU MARRIED” (A Woman’s Handbook For Marriage) will be released to the public in Febuary 2006. Winterizing Your Pond

Sunday, December 30th, 2007

By Brett Fogle For many parts of the country, it’s getting to be that time of year again. Time to start thinking about getting your fish and plants ready for old man winter… Every year, as the weather gets colder and we start heading into winter, many of our customers ask us how to prepare their ponds for winter. Pond owners should be aware of several simple things to do in preparing their ponds for colder months. Fish and plants need very different things in the winter, but can be kept in top condition for the following season if the appropriate steps are taken (see related articles). Fish should be fed less, floating annuals should be thrown out, potted hardy plants should be cut down and moved to the bottom of the pond, filters should be cleaned & drained, and pumps shut off. Another good practice that we recommend is to do a partial pond cleaning and water change. It’s not necessary to drain the pond completely, but we recommend draining 25% - 50% of the water and net out or remove as much organic debris as possible (IE: leaves, plants, etc.) The reason for this is because rotting leaves, dead plant material, and other organic wastes will give off toxic gasses as they decay during the winter. This can be especially dangerous if the pond is allowed to freeze over. A thick layer of ice can easily form over the pond in sub-freezing temperatures, which can prevent these gasses from escaping from the pond. If allowed to build up, your fish will suffer. The most likely result will be a weakened immune system, and a more vulnerable fish you will have come spring time. Anything you can do to reduce stress on your fish prior to and during winter, will pay off handsomely in the Spring. Your fish will be much more vibrant and healthy. Another important reason not to let your pond ice-over is because the oxygen levels in the pond water can drop to dangerous levels. By keeping the pond surface from freezing over, or by at least keeping a 2′ - 3′ hole in the ice, you can eliminate or greatly reduce these dangers. Oxygen levels should be maintained during winter if at all possible. If you have a standard aquarium air pump - plug it in outside and let it run all winter. We also recommend maintaining your salt levels during winter. This keeps your fish’s slime coat strong, and immune systems strong all winter long! A Teeth Whitening Dentist Doesn’t Have A Fountain Of Youth - But Close

Saturday, December 29th, 2007

By Abbie Frank Okay, a teeth whitening specialist doesn’t have a fountain of youth nor are they the tooth fairy. What would you call someone though who can make your smile look years younger in only one visit? It’s possible to restore your teeth back to their earlier, more brilliant color. We all know were getting older. The person looking back at you in the mirror is definitely older and no longer the teenager they once were. In a society where appearance continues to be an important factor of success and relationships, you owe it to yourself to maintain a youthful smile. The magic of a teeth whitening dentist can restore your smile to that original brightwhite color. There are several good reasons you should consider the teeth whitening services of a professional dentist. REASON #1. Dedication to professional conduct and results. Although there are many products in the market that claim to whiten your teeth, none can compare to the brilliant white color from a professional restoration. REASON #2. Professional teeth whitening is much faster than any at home, do it yourself treatment. A professional dentistry practice that specializes in teeth bleaching has the products and equipment necessary to offer dazzling results in as little as one treatment. There’s no question that home teeth whitening kits do a good job on many common stains and discolorations. The problem is that it takes at least 14 at home treatments to come close to the results of just one visit with a teeth whitening dental professional. Although professional and laser tooth whitening processes may be more expensive, consider the difference in time of one hour, versus 14 hours at home. With our busy schedules, many people have come to realize that professional teeth whitening is actually a very good value REASON #3. Effectiveness. Professional whitening treatments use chemicals and compounds that are much stronger than those available in any home teeth whitening system. This means professional teeth whitening is also much more effective and gone are the extremely difficult to remove stains like those created by tetracycline. REASON #4. Comfort and convenience. Imagine each day having to prepare your tooth whitener trays in dealing with applying the whitening gel. And after the treatment having to clean and rinse that gooey tray to be ready for the next treatment. None of this is part of a professional teeth whitening service. Having a professional available to control the teeth whitening treatment will also limit any possible side effects like tooth sensitivity. A tooth can become sensitive to a hot or cold temperatures when exposed to teeth whitening chemicals for too long a time. Many teeth whitening professionals build their practice on cosmetic dentistry alone. Cosmetic restorations, including tooth whitening is as much an art as it is a science. Unlike regular dental work that’s covered under dental insurance, much of the cosmetic dentistry business is not covered. For this reason, professional teeth whitening services have a vested interest in making certain that you are completely satisfied Abigail Franks writes on a variety of subjects which include family, health, and home. A Quick Guide to Unlocking Mobile Phones

Friday, December 28th, 2007

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Samantha_Hasson]Samantha Hasson How many cell phones do you have in the nightstand drawer next to your bed? Do you not want to toss them out because theres nothing wrong with them? Have you ever wondered why you cant use one of your phones with a different service than the one you originally signed up with? I mean really, they all sell pretty much the same phones, right? Thats why you need to seriously consider unlocking your mobile phone. I remember back before I knew any better, the battery in my cell phone wasnt holding a charge, so I took it back to the store where I bought it. They informed me that it would be cheaper to buy another phone and sign a new contract than to buy a fully charging battery. I didnt want another phone, as I had four already, but I also didnt want to spend more that I had to. So I got yet another brand new phone and signed a new agreement for two more years. If I had known then what I know now, I would have simply unlocked my phone. Heres how it works: Every cell phone has an International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI), a serial number that connects a phone to its service. An IMEI also connects the phones owner to the phone. The IMEI is the tape that connects the phone subscriber to the service. Now, inside most cell phones is a removable Subscriber Information Module, or SIM for short. A SIM is a card that also connects the phone to the owner (subscriber) and simultaneously the phone to the service. Many cell service companies will lock the SIM so the phone will only work with their service. This is why you need to buy a new phone when you switch wireless phone companies. This is true no matter how much you paid for the phone- and you may never be able to use it with a different service provider, no matter how many calls they drop. When you unlock your phone, you can use any cell phone service you choose, plus youll get rid of the roaming charges threat and be able to get more cash if youd like to sell your phone. Your new, unlocked phone will be legal attachment-free. Of course, if you have a contract with a provider, legally you are fully responsible to fulfill all obligations with said company, including payment and length of contract. If you wanted to unlock your cell phone in the not so distant past, you had to send your phone out to a company and have them perform the service. But recent technological advances and e-mail have brought this service directly into your home. Many companies who provide such a mobile phone unlocking service can get you the secret code to unlock your phone based on your IMEI and send it to you via email. You dont even have to wait for the postal carrier to show up- just for your computer to boot up. Samantha Hasson recommends GSM Liberty for your [http://www.gsmliberty.net/shop/]phone unlock needs. Does Fat Free Really Mean Free Of Fat?

Thursday, December 27th, 2007

By Jerry Byler Do you know what the words really mean on food labels? In this article, youll discover everything you need to know about how to interpret food labels and make the right food choices. So what does fat free really mean? To be labeled Fat Free, the food must contain less than gram of fat per serving. To be labeled Low Fat, the food must contain 3 grams or less of fat per serving. To be labeled Reduced Fat, the food must be at least 25 percent lower in fat than a comparable food. To be labeled Light, the food must contain 1/3 fewer calories, OR the fat OR 2/3 the sodium of a comparable food (but not necessarily all three!). Some foods (especially meat and dairy products) appear to have less fat than they really do. For example, if a milk or cheese label reads 2% milk or 2% cheese, this means that 2 percent of the product volume (NOT the calories) comes from milk fat. You can use a little math to discover how much fat these products actually contain. First, find the total calories per serving and the fat calories per serving. For example if the total calories per serving are 80 and the fat calories per serving are 50, divide the fat calories per serving by the total calories per serving. Then, multiply that number by 100 and youll have the total percent of fat calories in the food. In this example, 50 fat calories divided by 80 total calories equals .625 times 100 equals 62%. In this example, nearly 63 percent of the total calories of this food are from fat! Also, using the math above, you can figure out how much fat that 2 percent milk, 2 percent cheese, 2 percent cottage cheese and lean ground beef contain. Youll probably discover these foods are mush fatter than you realized! Trans fats should be avoided as much as possible as they can increase your risk of heart disease. Trans fats are also known as hydrogenated fats and are added to many processed foods including most baked foods (crackers, cookies, breads, etc.). If the food contains trans fats, the ingredient label will usually read: contains hydrogenated oil OR partially hydrogenated oil OR vegetable shortening OR margarine. Avoid these foods like the plague! By knowing how to read food labels and understanding the word fat, you can purchase diet foods more wisely and lose weight successfully. Find Peace And Happiness Through Gardening

Monday, December 24th, 2007

By Susan Jan Gardening is a wonderful and relaxing hobby enjoyed by many all over the world. People who enjoy gardening often feel a deep-rooted sense of calm and tranquility, and they also forge a stronger connection with nature. There are many types and forms of gardening. Organic gardening is a unique method of gardening and allows the gardener to really bond with Mother Nature. Organic gardening really gets down to the basics of growing fruits and vegetables, using only what Mother Nature provides. Container gardening is another way of gardening and allows many people who do not have their own garden to still enjoy gardening using pots and containers. Container gardening is a great way to decorate and accentuate your house and your outdoor area. Plant containers such as clay urns, metal pans, terra cotta pots, wine tubs, wood boxes, bath tubs, glass bowls, wire baskets, sisal rope planters, cement hollows etc. all work well. You want to be sure to have an assortment of beautiful flowers and plants of varying heights as well as shapes and textures when planning your garden. Organic gardening requires much more attention and involvement in the whole process. When you grow the plants organically, you do not add any artificial or chemical substances to the soil to avoid their negative health consequences. In organic gardening natural compost is needed to fertilize the soil. Natural compost is derived from plant, fruit or kitchen waste and contains no harmful chemical pesticides in it. Whether you go for container gardening or organic gardening, the preparation and gardening methods are pretty similar. After you decide on what type of gardening you want to do, prepare your spot and soil for planting. You must remove all weeds, grass, stones, etc using various gardening supplies or herbicides. When this is completed, you can plow the planting area and add nutrients such as manure, compost, peat or sand to the soil. If your soil is too sandy, you will need to add compost to give it the necessary nutrients it needs. Gardening supplies are essential for good gardening. They make gardening easy, and there are certain gardening supplies that gardeners find indispensable, including gloves, spade, scissors, pruners, levelers etc. Make sure to buy good quality gardening supplies for ease of use, such as gardening gloves made of high quality leather, and gardening spades or pruners made of stainless steel. Unemployment Blues: Jobs and Immigration

Monday, December 24th, 2007

By Virginia Bola, PsyD During the past few weeks, and surely for weeks to come, there has been a national focus in the United States on the problems and benefits of illegal immigration. While the many sides debate over amnesty, guest worker programs, routes to citizenship, strengthening the borders, and whether illegal immigrants should be considered felons, the reality of the situation remains unchanged. There are between 10 and 20 million (no one knows for sure) illegal aliens working within the United States. Many have regular full time jobs while others survive as day laborers or temporary workers. Politicians defend the needs of business to find workers to fill the jobs that “Americans are unwilling to do.” Despite the improving unemployment rate, there are still over 5 million of us out of work, some for a very considerable period of time. For those unfortunates, unemployment payments have long been exhausted. With no regular source of income nor any decent prospects on the horizon, why would anyone turn up their noses at the chance of regular work, no matter what was involved? We talk a lot about the “inherent dignity of work” as if being productive, in any way, is always better than laying around on the dole, collecting something for nothing. Such was the thinking behind the welfare-to-work push of a decade ago. But when was the last time you saw a politician or career bureaucrat actually have to take one of those “can’t be filled” jobs? What are those positions that Americans refuse to take such that they must be filled by illegal immigrants? They may require a migrant lifestyle such as farm labor where workers criss-cross the country following the picking seasons of different crops. Apart from the back-breaking physical demands of the work, how many of us are willing to live in ramshackle temporary huts without modern conveniences, all for an income well below a living wage? In California, the old bracero program recognized the reality and imported cheap labor from Mexico to bring produce to our tables. They may require extraordinarily long hours. I have worked at restaurants where the illegal kitchen help worked 14 to 16 hours a day, 7 days a week. They only left to sleep at their dorm-type safe houses. They never complained because they could earn enough in a year to return home and live for 2 or 3 years without working at all. The wages may be so poor that it is counter-productive to take the job. Certainly some income, even the smallest, should be better than no income at all - but not when other costs are factored in such as commuting fees, child care expenses, work clothes, etc. Then there are the jobs that are simply too demeaning for many of us: day laborer, dishwasher, motel maid, bus cleaner, baggage ramp handler, stable worker. Quite apart from the often deplorable working conditions, we avoid such jobs because they don’t fit in with our subconscious contract with society. Work is our primary medium of exchange with the world: we give our time and energy in order to receive money, recognition, and respect. The more of these we receive, the greater is our perceived value. To give considerable time and effort and receive little recompense degrades our sense of our own value. When we see ourselves without value as a worker, it is only a short jump to see ourselves without value as a human being. We all want to be needed, cherished, prized: it reassures us that we have importance, that we count, that our lives matter if only in a small way. Without that sense of self-value, we might as well cease to exist, a train of thought that can lead to suicide or other less lethal forms of self-destruction such as drugs, alcohol and similar compulsions. For limited periods of time, we can handle it, knowing that it’s only temporary and things will change for the better soon. As an unpaid resident in neuropsychology, I went to work as a waitress at night, something I hadn’t done in 25 years. What an eye-opener! I had forgotten the absolute lack of power involved in semi-skilled work where your position and your future depend upon the whims of a demanding and often unreasonable manager or owner. I was warned by other waitresses not to disagree with orders (I was eventually fired) and realized that, for them, the position was worth whatever they had to do to keep it. With no union to protect them, no knowledge of work laws and industry regulations, they accepted everything given and then spent hours bitching about it in the sanctuary of the kitchen. To take such a position on a permanent basis, knowing that there is no light at the end of the tunnel, that this really is all that there is, means giving up so much of ourselves. We change from happy, confident, caring people into perennial complainers and grousers, growing ever smaller and meaner in our outlook, our demeanor, and our attitude toward the world. Anyone who can save us from such a fate deserves, in my book, a vote of thanks. I really don’t think it matters what they do in Washington because they’ll never vote for the money to enforce whatever plan they devise, so nothing will really change. It would be really nice though, to see them put as much focus on corporate off-shoring of those jobs we’d all like to perform. But the lobbyists will make sure that it stays on the back burner and when was the last time unemployed workers took to the streets - 1933? Virginia Bola operated a rehabilitation company for 20 years, developing innovative job search techniques for disabled workers, while serving as a Vocational Expert in Administrative, Civil and Workers’ Compensation Courts. Are You Really Prepared for a Peacock Bass Fishing Adventure?

Saturday, December 22nd, 2007

By Puneet Singhal The only way to keep up with the latest about peacock bass fishing is to constantly stay on the lookout for new information. If you read everything you find about peacock bass fishing, it won’t take long for you to become an influential authority. Now that we’ve covered those aspects of peacock bass fishing, let’s turn to some of the other factors that need to be considered. Peacock bass fishing is one of the most adventurous and dangerous sports fishing game in the world. What makes it difficult for untrained sport fishers to venture is the target fish the peacock bass. Peacock bass fish has earned a reputation in the bass fishing world as ferocious, very powerful, and a bad-tempered sports fish. It behaves like a largemouth bass on steroids, which makes it difficult for anglers to catch. Once it decides to hit the lure, unsuspicious anglers are shocked because it strikes with such power, dragging away the bait without even caught by the hunters. Its strength is estimated to be twice more from other large fish. What seems to make peacock bass fish more powerful than other sports fish is their ability of doubling their strength once they surface and wrestle with the angler for the bait. Many sport fishers do think that a minute or two of fighting with this large bass fish will make the latter tired easily, but their presumption is not accurate. Peacock bass usually have another shot of bursting power coming from the adrenaline that their body is producing, thus it cannot be as easy as catching a regular black bass. Biological studies show what a peacock bass is and why it is very different to other fishes in the ocean. They are members of the Cichlids, which are reputed to be the most highly evolved group of fishes. Peacock bass is often classified as a predator, which feeds entirely on small fishes. It is usually found in the oceans of South America and Amazon. Its speed, strength, size and ferocious nature make it easy to hunt for prey. Similarly, to a largemouth bass with huge, bucket-like mouth, peacock bass do swallow up other fishes of smaller sizes at the same time for their meal. Three species of these sport fish are found in the Amazon. Brazilian natives as the Cichla Temensis or the tucunare azul or paca know one species of the peacock bass. On the other hand, the Spanish-speaking communities consider them as pavon azul or pinta lapa. This specie is very sensitive to water conditions and restricted to tropical areas of the Amazon. Its weight is estimated to have an average of 27 pounds. The second specie is the Cichla Ocellaris, known as the butterfly peacock. Much smaller compared to the pace, it just weighs about 7 to 8 pounds, but they are terrible fighters, ready to engage in a fight for bait. The third is the Cichla Nigrolineatus, or royal peacock. Its habitat is in fast moving waters and weighs an average of 3 to 4 pounds. The seasonal cycle of the peacock bass is usually based on the equatorial weather conditions in the Amazon River. Typical of dry and wet seasons, the best time hunting for peacock bass is usually of the first six months of the year, where the water temperature is not so extremely hot. For easier hunting, anglers are advised to have their bass fishing activities conducted on instances where different rivers in the South American continents reach the lowest water level. Sports fisher can fish in the Amazon from December through March on the northern area, and from July through November in the southern area. On the black waters of the northwestern Amazonian rivers, however, December through March is the best peacock bass fishing because of the clear waters and the typical dry season, making sport fisher easier for them to hunt the 27-pound peacock bass. One of the strategies of success in pursuing a peacock bass is the mastering of the fishing technique in relation to the behaviour of the fish. It is advised to at least improve everything an angler knows. They must also take into consideration the biological history of the fish to come up with new techniques and become familiar South American continent’s weather when the peacock bass is found and from this, determine the best season for hunting it. Lastly, the fishing gears such as rods, reels, and baits must be wisely selected in order to cope up with the style of the peacock bass. When everything is set up and ready, the next question is, can you survive the wildest peacock bass fishing adventure? So now you know a little bit about peacock bass fishing. Even if you don’t know everything, you’ve done something worthwhile: you’ve expanded your knowledge. Puneet Singhal is a seasoned bass fisherman who is always on the lookout for the new tricks and techniques to catch more fishes each time he go for fishing. How to Make a Dynamite First Impression When Dating

Saturday, December 22nd, 2007

By Alex Soco Huntresses, you may well ask, “Is makeup all that important?” Let’s go to the studies. Researchers asked men to talk with six different women who sometimes wore makeup, sometimes didn’t. Their study, “Lipstick as a Determiner of First Impressions of Personality,” revealed that the male opinion of each woman was very different when she wore lipstick.More about this will come! A man and a woman getting to know each other are like two little animals sniffing each other out. We don’t have tails that wag or hair that bristles, but we do have eyes that narrow or widen. We have hands that flash knuckles or subconsciously soften in the palms-up “I submit” position. There are dozens of other “involuntary” reactions that take place in the first few moments of interaction. The good news is that we can learn to control these presumed involuntary reactions. The moment you set eyes on each other, your Potential Love Partner subconsciously reads the subtleties of your body language. In these first crucial moments, he or she can unconsciously resolve to try for romantic takeoff or abort thoughts of love. Greenhouses: Choosing The Right Greenhouse Design

Friday, December 21st, 2007

By Hilary Basile Year Round Gardening Having a greenhouse means you never have to quit gardening just because of weather conditions. You can keep on propagating cuttings and seeds and grow several plant varieties whatever the season. When choosing a greenhouse design, consider weather conditions in your area when selecting a roof. For example, if you experience heavy snows during the winter, most likely you will not select a flat or straight roof design, rather a roof that will allow the snow to slide off easily. The standard free-standing with curved or peaked roof greenhouse is very popular and can be found in many gardens. The rectangular or square shape permits for utmost growing space for plants, usually designed with benches on the sides and at the back. Lean-to or home or wall attached greenhouses designs are manufactured and used when there is limited space at the backyard. These greenhouse designs are very accessible and convenient for connecting much needed water and power supply. Small solariums of various designs are widely available, medium and large sized greenhouses and even prefabricated greenhouse kits for easy installation. Greenhouse Designs 1. Gable greenhouse: This design type usually is attached to a wall or garage or any structure utilizing only half the gables actual gable design. Generally, this type has flat roof panels but slightly sloping and vertical sidewalls. At times, the gable types of greenhouse are also attached to another greenhouse employing the use of the end wall rather than sidewall. 2. Barn style greenhouse: This design type is, as the name suggests shaped similar to a barn having wide roof and interior and with shorter walls. This design is usually incorporated in a garden of country setting or theme or a rustic garden appeal. This greenhouse design can be attached to another greenhouse or can be beautifully constructed in a garden freestanding. 3. Dome greenhouse: This design is identical to a dome, meaning it is half a ball and placed directly on land. This design can not be attached to a structure and can only be constructed as a freestanding type of greenhouse, as this design has no sidewalls. This type of greenhouse is a bit expensive to make due to the many pieces of different glazing that generally are needed to complete this design shape. 4. Gothic style greenhouse: This design type has a very historical gothic appearance. The walls and roof are formed in such a manner as to create a continuous form, allowing snow to fall down easily. This design type can be either attached or freestanding, however it is usually not recommended attached except when your homes design is very much similar to a gothic design. 5. Hoop greenhouse: This type of design is constructed with a metal pipe or PVC to make the hoops shape then enclosed with plastic covering. This type of design is very cost effective on your initial purchase, but the maintenance of continuously replacing the cover (plastic) can add up. You will find that the majority of greenhouses are manufactured from aluminum material that is weatherproof and lightweight. Galvanized steel also is sturdy and lightweight. Wood can be used, but make sure you use a lumber that has been pressure treated such as redwood or cedar since these are weather resistant. Greenhouse Features As to whatever greenhouse design should you decide on, be sure to look for a structure with the highest strength and stability. Your greenhouse must: Be capable of enduring extreme weather conditions, like very high winds and snowfall build up. Have the necessary support for grow lights, sidewall shelving and hanging baskets. Have an intricate detail of hinged screened storm doors, as well as large side or individual roof vents. The door may be easily adjusted to be dropped or lowered into the foundations opening so to get rid of an elevated step when you feel that it is needed. There are a wide selection of greenhouse styles and sizes offered. If greenhouse costs limit your greenhouse size, keep in mind that greenhouse extensions can be added at a later date and as your budget permits. Most greenhouse owners complain of a limited space when they built their greenhouse on a budget. So whatever design you choose, remember to get the largest that your money can buy.
